Meet Whittney Henderson!

In our ninth edition of Avant Garde Theatre of Dance's Center Stage, we present to you Miss Whittney Henderson.

Whittney is a competitive dancer in the Apprentice Program here at Avant Garde

Theatre of Dance. She is a fourth grader and a very motivated and hard worker. She currently takes Ballet twice per week, and contemporary, jazz, and acrobatics once per week.

"Whittney is always smiling and always works very hard in each class she takes. She is a joy to have at our school," says Miss Sarah.

Whittney has 3 dogs, 2 cats, fish, 1 horse and 2 donkeys. When asked what her favorite class was at Avant Garde Theatre of Dance, she said, "All of them but kind of like Acro best!"

We had to ask Whittney, "What is it about Avant Garde that you love?" She replied, I love how much fun we always have!"

When we asked Whittney if she was excited to be in the competitive program, she immediately responded, "Yes, excited actually!" So we had to know, what is it that excites Miss Whittney the most and she stated "EVERYTHING!!! And the judges will get to see how hard I worked to win!"

Whittney has several friends at Avant Garde Theatre of Dance that attend other classes and are also on the Apprentice Team. We asked, what she truly thought about Miss Sarah and she said "She is AMAZING!!"

So, I think we can say, Miss Whittney will be working very hard in the Apprentice Program... but, we had to ask anyway and she told us she will be working very hard to bring home the trophies!

  Meet Jillian Diaz! In our tenth edition of Avant Garde Theatre of Dance's Center Stage, we present to you Miss Jillian Diaz. Jillian is a competitive dancer in the Apprentice Program at Avant Garde  Theatre of Dance.  This fifth grader is not new to dance. Center Stage with Genesis Hernandez

Meet Genesis Hernandez! We are so proud to present to you our fifth edition of Avant Garde Theatre of Dance's Center Stage! This week, we get to know a little more about that little girl we posted month's ago on our Page. If you don't remember, maybe the photo below will ring a bell?  Miss Genesis was the very first student that we ever posted on our Facebook page, she was the first student to sign up at Avant Garde Theatre of Dance, and she is still so very excited and happy every single day we see her for class! Genesis is a competitive dancer in the Apprentice Program here at Avant Garde Theatre of Dance.  This first grader is such a hard worker and she is hyper focused in every class she takes.
